What this site is
Baton Rouge Gutter Installation is a free quote service, not a gutter company. You tell us about your home through a short form, and we pass your request to independent local gutter companies that work in your part of the Capital Region. An installer then contacts you, measures the roofline on site and gives you a written quote. Using the service costs you nothing, and you are never obligated to hire anyone.
The requests we see cover the whole range of gutter work: new seamless gutters, gutter guards, downspouts and drainage, repairs, replacement and fascia repair, and copper and half-round gutters.
What we are not
- We are not an installer. We don't send crews, and we don't measure, install, repair, clean or inspect gutters. The independent company you choose does that work.
- We don't set prices. Your price comes from the installer after an on-site measurement. The ranges on our cost guide are typical estimates from published cost guides, not quotes.
- We don't vouch for any company. We make no claims about any company's licensing, insurance or workmanship. Please check every company yourself, using the steps below, before you sign anything.
- We aren't a lender, insurer or claims adjuster. Questions about financing or an insurance claim belong with your lender or insurance company.
Why gutters get their own website here
Baton Rouge averages about 62 inches of rain a year, based on NOAA's 1991–2020 normals for Baton Rouge Metro Airport, and no month averages less than about 3.9 inches. USDA soil survey data show that most of the metro sits on flat, slow-draining soil, so roof water dropped next to a slab tends to pond rather than soak away. Getting gutter size, downspout placement and drainage right matters more here than in drier places.
Many local gutter company websites we reviewed don't publish any prices. We publish typical ranges so you can walk into an estimate knowing roughly what to expect, and we explain the trade-offs in plain language on our blog and FAQ.
Requests come in from Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes. See the full list on our service areas page.
How to check a gutter contractor on LSLBC
The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) keeps a public contractor search. Here is how to use it before you hire anyone, including any company you hear from through this site.
- Search the company. Go to the LSLBC contractor search and look the company up by name, license number, city or parish.
- Confirm an active registration or license. Look for an active Home Improvement registration or Residential license. LSLBC notes that only currently licensed or registered contractors appear in results and that the data may not reflect recent changes. If something looks off, call LSLBC at 225-765-2301.
- Know when it applies. Per LSLBC and Act 178 of 2024, home improvement registration applies to residential projects of about $7,500 and up (and under $50,000), and a residential license applies at $50,000 or more. Most gutter-only jobs fall below $7,500, but gutters plus guards plus drainage on a large home can go over.
- Ask for a current insurance certificate. LSLBC registration requires liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, and under Act 757 of 2026 the minimum liability coverage rose to $500,000. Ask the company for a current certificate whatever the job size.
- Get a written contract. It should list the scope, materials, gutter size, downspout count, price and timeline.
- Watch the payment timeline. Under La. R.S. 14:202.1, a contractor who takes payment and does no work for 45 days can be presumed to intend fraud. During declared emergencies, La. R.S. 29:732 bans price gouging.
This is general information, not legal advice. Permit rules vary, so check with your parish permit office about your project. For a longer walk-through, read how to check a gutter contractor's license in Louisiana.
